Yes, that's right Todd! Covert levels and up are the most important things. But You will be not able to see really big farms, or if you are, then you will not have enough strike to farm them, cuz they usually have at least 200K defence.
I am going to write a short explanation about the importance of stats.

I was working on strike for while, as u can see should boost your def up to 1,2M or so, if u don't want to get farmed
For active players it's not that important
Under 2M naq farming don't worth it
